Prospective Learners

• Application form
• Certified copy of the learner's ID or Birth Certificate
• Certified copy of the parents' ID or Birth Certificate
• Proof of Residential address.
• CEMIS Transfer form
• Transfer Letter from the previous school-if the learner comes from another province or country
• Most recent school report
• Certified copy of the study permit- if the learner is not a South African
• Certified copy of the official permit of residence- if the learner is not a South African
• A signed undertaking by both the learner and the parents to adhere to school rules and learner code of conduct.

In terms of SASA Section 3(6) it is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian of the learner to make sure that each learner of compulsory school going age attends school regularly. SASA stipulates that learners have the right to be educated in his/her mother tongue if it is reasonable practical. Prospective parents and learners must be cognisant of the fact that the school offers education in Afrikaans and English therefore applicants must be proficient in one or both of these languages to be admitted to the school.

 

Sarepta Secondary School is a fee paying school and the school fees are determined and reviewed by the SGB on a yearly basis. School fees for 2020 is R2 000 annual fee per child.

Parents who are unable to pay the school fees may apply for exemption or partial exemption of the school fees. Exemption of school fees will be only be considered and granted by the chairperson of the SGB, if an application form is filled out and handed in by the due date as determined by the WCED and if the parents qualify for the exemption of the school fees.

• EXEMPTION OF SCHOOL FEES:
  The current subjects of a FET learner who apply for admission to the school must integrate with the subject packages offered at the school.

• SKOOLDRAG:
  Omdat die amptelike skooldrag eenvormigheid en dissipline bevorder, die goedkoopste drag is, die veiligheid van leerders vergemaklik en skooltrots aanwakker, word daar van ouers verwag om die drag te koop. Van leerders word verwag om skoon en netjies in skooldrag gekleed te wees. Moslemleerders sal hul neerlê by die reëlings vir skooldrag soos bepaal deur Moslemouers en die beheerliggaam van die skool.
• SKOOLDEELNAME:
  Van leerders word verwag om ten minste een sportkode te beoefen. Die skool het eerste aanspraak op leerderdeelname (bo-buiteinstansies). Die korrekte sportdrag moet gedra word. Die gedragskode vir die sport moet eerbiedig.
  Leerderondersteuning en deelname moet altyd so wees dat dit hul skool se naam tot eer strek.
• TUISWERK / SKOOLWERK:
  Is nie beperk tot skriftelike werk nie. 'n Pligsgetroue sekondêre skoolleerder het altyd tuiswerk (studie/ navorsing) en daar word verwag dat gegewe werk op die spesifieke datums afgehandel moet word.
• TYD:
  Die skool begin om 08h00. Leerders moet stiptelik wees vir skool en teen 08h00 op die terrein wees asook vir klasse, byeenkomste, afsprake, wedstryde, e.a. skoolgekoppelde aktiwiteite. Gereelde laatkom is bloot 'n slegte gewoonte. Indien 'n persoon laat is, moet hy/sy eers by die kantoor (sekr.) aanmeld alvorens hul na die klasse gaan.
• VERLAAT VANAF TERREIN:
  Geen leerder mag die skoolterrein verlaat sonder die goedkeuring van die kantoor nie. Die kantoor (sekr.) sal skriftelik toestemming verleen en rekord hou van sulke gevalle. Toegang tot en die verlaat vanaf die skoolterrein geskied slegs deur die hekke. Niemand mag oor heinings of drade klim of deur omheinings kruip nie.
• VERTROULIKE OF SENSITIEWE ASPEKTE / INLIGTING:
  Hierdie aspekte bv. verkragtings / swangerskappe / betasting, e.a word onder die aandag van die prinsipaal of voorligter gebring en moet as vertroulik behandel word.
• VERVOER: VOERTUIE / BUITEMUURSE AKTIWITEITE:
  Leerder wat van busse / kombi's / openbare vervoer gebruik maak op sportbyeenkomste / funksies / kompetisies, e.a byeenkomste bywoon, moet hul gedra in ooreenstemming met die reëls / instruksies van die bestuurder of persoon in beheer en ooreenkomstig die gedragskode en reëls van die skool.
